This was a custom build that was based on a 2001 996 Turbo brought in by a local client. The vehicle began as a completely untouched, stock 996TT and had the end goal to be not only a show stopper but a track animal. The entire vehicle was stripped down to its shell, all interior & wiring removed and built up from there. Besides making more power out of it, the car needed to look unique and different. It was decided to create a custom wide body, which would give the aggressive appearance needed. The wide body was done in house from beginning to end. All of the molds were built and created here specifically for this vehicle.
Once the vehicle was stripped down and the wide body components were completed, the vehicle was sent off to paint for a coat of grand prix white. The car would later be wrapped matte white but to keep the overall appearance top notch it was painted first. Once the car was back from paint, a 4 point roll bar was installed followed by the rest of the interior. No creature comforts other than the A/C system (since it gets hot in Florida the client decided to keep the A/C system) would remain.
We also eliminated the front final drive and converted this car to rear wheel drive, installed a 3″ Straight through exhaust, flash tuned the ECU, installed IPD plenum, intercoolers and Cryodetailed the undercarriage. The suspension was upgraded with Ohlins Road & Track coilovers, GT3 sway bars, GT3 lower control arms, and TRS rear adjustable toe links.
The weight of this car was now reduced to 2995lbs,wet, with driver.
